Nothing like spending a great West Coast weekend together with family. Tristan 8, Nathan 10 and my wife Georgia spent Friday snowboarding in beautiful powder (yes powder at the end of April!) on Mount Baker, Washington. The only sour note of the trip was that my once virgin car interior was covered in vomit due to Tristan becoming carsick while driving up the mountain. The car was renamed the vomit comet for the remainder of the weekend.

After a great day on the mountain I took the boys up to the Sunshine coast where we camped out for the next two nights. The highlight of the sunshine coast section of the weekend was a 10k hike into Skookumchuck Narrows to see the play boats navigate the standing wave(s). It was the coldest April weekend in over 80 years however that meant sunshine for us, which was just amazing. Best weekend I have had for a long time and one I hope my boys will remember forever.
