While having a beautiful canoe trip down the Restigouche River on a sunny September day, my friends from the Two Countries, One Forest group and I were experiencing the typical (but still wonderful) Restigouche treats - looking through the cold clear water to the rocky bottom, marvelling at the huge wild Atlantic salmon swimming in the deep deep pools.  Not to be outdone, a glorious bald eagle came flying into view, and we watched it soar as we glided on the river.  A perfect outdoor experience - Restigouche, you've done it again!
