The proposed project is an unsupported solo bike trip in the northern Yukon and NWT along the 670 km gravel Dempster highway. This project will produce a short film highlighting the people who populate this mountain route, both historically and currently under the backdrop of the beautiful northern landscape. check out www.davidraithby.com
This trip travels through the Peel River watershed which the Three Rivers Wilderness initiative is part of. It include crossing the continential divide three times and exploring the diverse landscape each section has to offer.....the Tombstone Range, the Blackstone and Olgivie Rivers, the Eagle Plains and the Richardson mtns....all full of colour, wildlife and calling to be protected.
