Replace lost woodland habitat in subdivisions

Replace lost woodland habitat in subdivisions

I have successfully demonstrated that a lawn is not necessary. Replacing lawn with plant life such as shrubs, perrennials, many many trees can create habitat for animals and still be attractive without the use of chemicals by using mulch and a little hard work and avoid using gas or electric powered tools that contribute to global warming. The mulch also helps reduce water consumption and all plants are drought tolerant. I used soaker hose so that the roots are watered rather than the leaves which will evaporate quickly, whereas a soaker hose will have a greater benefit to plants.
