On June 1 2009, Canada's Canoe Guys Tony Ebdon and Christopher Petrie embarked on an epic adventure. Following the historic fur trade route, we started at Fort Edmonton on the North Saskatchewan River. For 87 days, we paddled more than 2000 kilometers to Knee Lake, Manitoba on the Hayes River.

On August 1 2010, we will be returning to Knee Lake to conclude the 325 kilometer distance to the HBC trading post, York Factory on Hudson Bay.

In 2009, as directors of Canadian Shield, we raised $950.22 for The Big Wild.

Save the Woodland Caribou

Ontario's woodland caribou are losing space to live, fast. Ontario loses 35 000 square km’s of forest to industry every ten years - that's forest the woodland caribou once called home. To date, the caribou have already lost 50% of their range. Scientists paint a grim picture for their survival if industrial practices don't change.
