Endless Road
Epic Challenge
July 18, 2010 - August 9, 2010
Chris Mount and David Martin take on 600 kilometers from Banff Alberta, to Salmo British Colmubia. Self propelled vehicles called longboards will be used for this campaign. Hauling forty pound bags on their backs will allow them to experience the freedom of the wilderness in full force. Backcountry camping the entire way with dehydrated food and expedition hammocks. This will be their first attempt at anything like this, and they thought if they could raise some money for a cause that they love while doing it, what could they lose?

This trip will take them through huge mountain passes, as well as beautiful lake side drives. Their main danger is the vehicles they share the road with. The reflective gear and sporting sail will make them very visible, but will not protect them from a car or truck. The risks involved have been fully accessed, and the necessary saftey equipment has been aquired. Saftey is their main concern. This epic adventure started out as a pleasure trip to Shambhala Music Festival, and turned into a full campaign to raise money to help protect the Flathead River Valley. They will be bringing two HD helmet cameras with them, and will be producing a full length movie when they are finished.
